摘要: A single-use syringe intended for mixing and dispensing dual-component dental materials. The syringe comprises two cylindrical housings and a tubular cannula connected to said housings via a mixing chamber. Disposed in the cavities of said housings are pistons with rods. The ends of the rods are joined by an end connector for finger support. The pistons are provided with O-rings made of an elastic material. Said rings are disposed at the ends of the pistons facing the mixing chamber. Pointed tubular elements arranged in the mixing chamber are designed to pierce the ends of outlet channels of the cavities of the cylindrical housings. The other ends of the pistons are provided with conical guide recesses for orienting tapered ends of the rods, said rods also being provided with annular shoulders for interacting with the end walls of the cylindrical housings. Each cylindrical housing has, at the end facing the mixing chamber, an inner annular retaining groove for an O-ring, the diameter of which is greater than half the depth of the groove.

摘要: A catheter proximal section is preferably formed from a relatively soft part and a relatively rigid part, and includes a proximal terminal end that defines a perimeter of an opening into a lumen of the catheter. The proximal section may further include a feature for interlocking engagement with an accessory tool. An inner surface of each of the relatively soft and rigid parts may be located opposite one another, on either side of the catheter lumen. The relatively soft and rigid parts may be included in a sealing assembly that further includes an attachment feature for removable connection of the assembly to the proximal section catheter.

摘要: Provided is a precision variable flow rate infusion system and method for delivering a liquid from a reservoir having an initial potential outflow rate to a patient. The system includes at least a first flexible flow rate tubing having a pre-defined flow rate selected at a maximum dosage flow rate for the liquid from the reservoir, the pre-defined flow rate being less than the initial potential outflow rate of the reservoir. Also provided is an adjustable flow rate controller having an inlet and an outlet, at least one internal fluid pathway there between and a fluid pathway modifier structured and arranged to modify the internal fluid pathway from the inlet to the outlet from a closed pathway to a maximum flow pathway with a plurality of different flow rate pathways there between. Moreover, the at least first flexible flow rate tubing and adjustable flow rate controller determine the maximum flow rate of liquid from the reservoir to a patient and the adjustable flow rate controller permits precision flow rate control from an off flow rate to about the maximum flow rate permitted. Associated methods of providing, calibrating and using the precision variable flow rate infusion system are also provided.

摘要: A syringe for intratympanic injection, which allows secure recognition that an infusion in the syringe is at a temperature within a temperature range suitable for the administration into the tympanic cavity just before injection is provided. A syringe for tympanic injection 10 for direct injection of an infusion in a barrel 12 into the tympanic cavity, having first and second reversible temperature indicators 20.25 provided on an outer surface 12b of the barrel, wherein an indication based on difference temperatures at which the reversible temperature indicators 20.25 change in color allows visual recognition of a range of injection temperature suitable for administration into the tympanic cavity. In this way, the range of injection temperature suitable for administration into the tympanic cavity can be indicated in a way that allows visual recognition, and by seeing the reversible temperature indicators 20, 25 just before injection, a user of the syringe for tympanic injection 10 can certainly recognize that the infusion in the barrel 12 is at a temperature within the temperature range suitable for the administration into the tympanic cavity.
