Ultra-fine powder is sent by transportation air to a meeting tank (30) at the other end of the transportation piping (23) and the weight of the transported powder is measured by a load cell (31). After the measurement has reached 90 % of a predetermined measurement, the feed quantity of transportation air is reduced and a bypass regulating valve (38) is regulated to carry out transporation at a reduced speed. When the measurement reaches 100 %, discharge to the transportation piping (23) is stopped. This method and apparatus can provide storage, constant-quantity batch transportation and automatic measurement of ultra-fine powder such as silica fume.

Bei einem Verfahren zum kontinuierlichen Fördern von Schüttgut wird dieses aus einem Aufgabebehälter über ein, vorzugsweise als Zellenrad (1) ausgebildetes, Schleusenorgan mittels eines Fördermediums in eine Förderleitung (4) gespeist, wobei das Fördermedium - insbesondere pulsierend - über eine pneumatische Leitung (13) in die Förderleitung (4) eingebracht wird. Es ist wenigstens eine Messstelle im Auslaufbereich (3) des Schleusenorgans (1) vorgesehen; der dort gemessene Druck dient als Regelgrösse, der Durchsatz von Schüttgut und/oder der von Fördermedium als Stellgrösse. Damit wird das Verhältnis des Durchsatzes von Schüttgut und Fördermedium in der Förderleitung (4) konstant gehalten.
