摘要： The invention relates to the provision in a urinal or toilet facility of a display screen with the display screen positioned and used to display video material to the user of a fixture in the facility such as a male urinal, toilet seat, sink, mirror or any other fixture and this in itself is a useful and inventive feature in that the display screen is positioned to allow video material to be viewed by the person using the fixture. However the utility is further improved by the use of a sensor to detect the presence of a person at the fixture. In addition, data relating to the usage of the fixture and when used in conjunction with the display screen exposure to the material displayed on the display screen can be stored and provided to advertisers to whom the material relates, facility providers or other interested parties. Furthermore the data from which the video and/or audio via speakers, is generated can be downloaded to the facility from a remote location and stored in memory via suitable communication systems.

摘要： This invention relates to a method for maintaining the reliable operation of a sensor detecting a need for flushing a urinal (10). According to the invention, urine stone and/or other such dirt adhered over the area of the flushing-need detecting sensor within the liquid basin of the urinal (10) is removed by means of a vibrator operating over this particular area. In a preferred case, the sensor comprises for example a piezoelectric crystal. In one embodiment of the invention, the sensor is adapted to vibrate by means of a piezoelectric crystal. In a second preferred embodiment, said piezoelectric crystal is set in the immediate vicinity of the sensor, thereby removing the dirt.

摘要： A method of and system for cleansing a toilet or urinal are proposed which require less maintenance work and are safer to users than conventional methods using acid substances, and which can prevent the formation of stain on the toilet or urinal effectively and suppress the generation of ammonia sufficiently, thus accomplishing a sufficient countermeasure to the stench. A urinal (A1) is provided with a continuous electrolytic cell (1) having at least a pair of electrodes, a passage formed between the electrodes, and an inlet and an outlet that lead to the passage. Tap water is electrolyzed by the continuous electrolytic cell (1), whereby free chlorine is produced. Then the water containing free chlorine produced is supplied to the urinal (A1), and the water containing free chlorine sterilizes the inside of the urinal, thus preventing urease, an enzyme carried by bacteria, from acting to decompose urea. By this method, the deposition of uric stone and the generation of the stain and stench are suppressed on the surface of the urinal and in the trap of the urinal.
