    摘要: A disk-loading device where vibrational movement immediately after the start of loading movement of a tray (12) or immediately before the end of ejection movement of the tray is prevented from occurring, and fine loading/ejection movement of the tray can be achieved. A guide groove (12a) parallel to the loading/ejection directions is provided in the tray (12). The width dimension of the guide groove (12a) is narrower only at a tray loading start position or at a tray ejection end position, and clearances between guides (11a, 11b, 11c) that are provided on a main chassis (11) and engage with the guide groove are reduced. Alternatively, side pressure is applied by an elastic body (11d) to a side wall of the guide groove (12a) so that the guide groove (12a) and the guides (11a, 11b, 11c) are pressed during loading/ejection movement, or immediately after the start of loading movement or immediately after the end of ejection movement.

    摘要: A system and method for an improved multiple-hard-disk-drive data-storage enclosure (1400). Some embodiments position drives in counter-rotating pairs, each simultaneously accessing half the data, such that seek-caused actuator rotational-acceleration vibration cause simultaneous canceling rotational torque. Some embodiments position the edge of a first drive (or drive pair) (1120) at an angle to the actuator midpoint of a nearby second drive (or drive pair) (120), such that rotational-acceleration vibration from a seek-caused actuator rotation in the first drive does not cause a rotational movement into the second drive that affects the tracking or seek operation. Some further embodiments position drives (120, 1120) in a herringbone pattern to redirect air flow in addition to reducing rotational-acceleration vibration interaction. Other embodiments include a printed wire circuit board mounted to reduce the rotational-acceleration vibration interaction.
