    摘要: A battery system is disclosed which includes folded grids (50) of expanded metal inserted through non-conductive substrates (40) and pasted with electrochemically active materials. In the most preferred embodiment, a frame (10) is provided with a plastic insert (40), and slots (42,43,44) are provided in the latter to receive the expanded metal grid. After suitable coinage of the grid and insertion through the plastic film, the grid is sealed and pasted on opposite sides with positive and negative active material. A battery is assembled using one or a plurality of the resulting electrode elements, with separators, to produce a high-power, lead-acid battery. The folded grid provides many of the design benefits of standard bipolar construction.

    摘要: The present application provides an electrode plate, an electrode assembly, and a secondary battery. An electrode plate includes a current collector, an active material layer arranged on one surface of the current collector, and an electrical connection member electrically connected to the current collector. The active material layer is arranged on a main body portion of the current collector, the electrical connection member and the current collector are connected to each other by welding at an edge of the current collector, the welding connection region is referred to as a transfer welding region, and the current collector includes a support layer and an electrically conductive layer arranged on one surface of the support layer. The electrode plate further includes a first insulation layer arranged on a further surface of the current collector and covering at least the entirety of the transfer welding region when viewed in a thickness direction of the electrode plate. According to the present application, it is possible to improve the safety performance of the secondary battery and reduce an internal resistance of the secondary battery.

    摘要: The present disclosure provides a secondary battery, an electrode sheet thereof, and a preparation method for an electrode sheet, which belong to the field of secondary battery technologies. A conductive layer of a current collector in the electrode sheet of the secondary battery includes a first region and a second region. The first region has a thickness greater than a thickness of the second region. An active material layer is disposed on the second region and a part of the first region that is close to the second region. In the electrode sheet of the secondary battery, a part of the first region that is coated with no active material serves as a tab region. The tab region has a larger thickness and is configured to be connected to a tab. The second region and the part of the first region that is close to the second region serve as a coating region. The coating region is configured to be coated with an active material to form the active material layer. In this manner, an current-passing capability at the tab region and the tab is increased, and an current-passing capability of the tab region and the coating region is also increased. Thus, a conducting capability of the entire electrode sheet is improved, an internal resistance of a cell is reduced, and a 3C capacity retention rate of the cell is increased. For cells having a same volume, the cell provided by the present disclosure can be coated with more active material layer to improve an energy density of the cell.
