    摘要: A pneumatic power tool for tightening screw joints comprising a primary motor 11 for the high speed running down sequence and a secondary motor 12 for the high torque final tightening sequence. The tool includes a coupling guering 18 providing a high ratio gearing for the secondary motor 12, a gearing of a substantially lower ratio for the primary motor 11 and a oneway clutch 30 by which the secondary motor 12 is automatically engaged at decreasing tightening speed. An air supply valve 33 is employed to substantially reduce the air consumption of the tool by keeping the air supply to the secondary motor 12 shut until a certain degree of tightness in the joint is obtained which by the supply valve 33 is experienced as an increased back pressure from the primary motor 11. At a back pressure corresponding to the predetermined certain degree of tightness in the joint the valve 33 is opened and the secondary motor 12 is energized.
    A reduction gearing 19 is supported in a casing 90 which is rotatively connected to the tool housing 10 and provided with a laterally extending torque reaction bar 92. An arresting mechanism is employed to prevent rotation between the tool housing 10 and the gear casing 90 when the tool is in operation. Balls 96, 97 are arranged in the housing 10 to lock either the gear casing 90 or the throttle valve trigger 16 against movement relative to the tool housing 10 by engaging either one of a row of notches 93 oh the gear casing 90 or a groove on the trigger stem 94.

    摘要: This invention relates to a pneumatically operated hoist comprising a housing 10 provided with a suspension means 12,13 for suspension of the hoist from an overhead support, a pneumatically driven motor 15 provided with a first flow passage 75 arranged for serving as a pressurized air inlet during raising of a load and an air exhaust passage during lowering of the load and a second flow passage76 arranged for serving as an air exhaust passage during raising of the load and a pressurized air inlet during lowering of the load, a load engaging means 16,17 drivingly connected to the motor 15, and a control means 18 for regulating airflowto and from the motor 15. Known such hoists are slow in lowering light loads or too fast in lowering heavy loads safely. According to this invention the control means incorporate a flow restricting means 77,78 provided in said first flow passage 75 and arranged for restricting flow through said first flow passage 75 during lowering of the load, and a load sensitive shunt valve 41 arranged for providing a second air exhaust passage 69,70 during lowering of a load having a weight below a predetermined magnitude and for closing said second air exhaust passage 69,70 during lowering of a load having a weight greater than said predetermined magnitude whereby more efficient operation is obtained.

    摘要: A tunnelling machine has a swing unit (31) that is swingable about a horizontal axis (I). The swing unit has a head (50) that rotates about an axis (II) that is transverse to said horizontal axis and passes the horizontal at a distance below the horizontal axis. The head is equipped with a plurality of disc-cutters (53-58, 63) that are arranged to have their cutting edges on an imaginary sphere with a radius of about the same length as the swing radius. Upon simultaneous upward swinging of the swing unit and rotation of the head, the cutters cut both when on the leading side of the head and when on the trailing side. No cutting occurs during the return swing stroke. When the swing unit has been returned, the machine is advanced a step which is somewhat larger than the distance between the two axes, and another upward cutting stroke can be effected.
