This magneto-optical disc recording and/or reproducing apparatus is comprised of a rotating device (5, 6) for clamping the disc hub by magnetic attraction force of a magnet (6) to thereby rotate the disc, a loading device having a cartridge holder (14) for holding a disc cartridge inserted and for loading on the rotating device the magneto-optical disc inserted into the disc cartridge by the up and/or down movement of the cartridge holer, a supporting device (18) for supporting a bias magnetic field generating device (20) so that the bias magnetic field generating device can be freely moved up and down in the direction away from and towards the magneto-optical disc which is clamped by the rotating device as the cartridge holder is moved up and/or down, and a pushing device (27, 28) for pushing a central portion of the magneto-optical disc so that, when the magneto-optical disc is loaded on the disc rotating device by the loading device, a centre aperture of the disc hub is engaged with a spindle shaft of the disc rotating device.

摘要： A cartridge loading apparatus comprises a loading/ ejecting ans opening/closing mechanism (64) disposed in a housing (60). The mechanism (64) receives a cartridge (A) which encloses an optical recording disk (1) therein and includes first and second cases (4 and 6) from a port (61) formed on the housing (60 in a closed state wherein the first and second cases (4 and 6) are in contact with each other, opens the cartridge (A) by separating the first and second cases (4 and 6) from each other to expose an area of the disk (1) during the receiving operation, ejects at least part of the cartridge (A) outside of the housing (60) through the port (61), and closes the cartridge (A) by bringing the first and second cases (4 and 6) into contact with each other during the ejecting operation. The central portion of the disk (1) after the opening thereof by the mechanism (64) is clamped between a turntable (65) and clamper (69), and the exposed area of the disk (1) between the first and second cases (4 and 6) is recorded/reproduced by an optical head (70) using a laser beam.
