    摘要： The present invention provides a portable media player, such as a portable DVD player. The portable media player has a clamshell type design, including a base portion and an openable cover portion. The openable cover portion includes a display screen, such as an LCD display screen. The player may include a single-hinge stand attached to an outer surface of the base portion so that DVDs may be viewed with the player positioned to stand upright or partially upright. The player may alternatively or additionally include an optionally attachable dual hinge stand having a base including a battery.

Thereby, if a cartridge is mounted on a tray in a wrong direction, the user can easily recognize its wrong mounting.

The hard disk pack (11) includes a memory disk support ring (11d) which has opposite annular axial faces upon which the memory disks are securely mounted and axially spaced thereby. An elastomeric connection (11j, 11k and 11m) between the memory disk support ring (11d) and a cylindrical body (13a) of the motor rotor (13) of the disk spindle motor (10), provides a soft, or compliant, support for the hard disk pack (11).
