Vorgesehen ist zumindest ein endlos umlaufendes Transportsystem für jeden der Behälterströme (4.1 und 4.2), wobei an dem Transportsystem Linearantriebe (26.1, 26.3) mit elektrisch angetriebenen Trägerschlitten (27, 27a) vorgesehen sind, insbesondere elektromagnetische Linearantriebe (26.1, 26.3), bei welchen die Trägerschlitten (27, 27a) voneinander unabhängig angetrieben und in ihrer Geschwindigkeit gesteuert werden können. Der Linearantrieb (12) des jeweiligen Transportsystems weist eine Vielzahl von fußseitigen Führungen (6) und/oder Kopfführungen (7) für Behälter (3) auf, wobei unmittelbar nach dem Linearantrieb (26.1, 26.3) oder einer Ausleitvorrichtung (13) eine Abteil- und/oder Verdichtereinheit oder eine Abteilund/oder Verdichterstrecke (22) zum Gruppieren und Verdichten sowie temporäre Anpressung einer vorbestimmten Anzahl von Behältern (3) vorgesehen ist, mittels welcher die Behälter (3) stromab des Transportsystems zu dem Gebinde zusammengefasst und weitertransportiert werden.
