According to the invention, the brush group holder (7) is displaceably mounted in relation to the collector (23) and a stop (13) is fixed to the housing, in order to accurately position the brushes (22) against the collector. Thus additional production tolerances, for example, when an electronics module is plugged into the housing of the electric motor, have no influence on the accuracy of the positioning of the brushes. The invention also relates to an electric drive unit for motor vehicles, which is configured in particular for window lifters or as an electric control motor unit, comprising the inventive electric motor.
