According to the invention, the first (A) and second (B) annular surfaces are located in different annular planes, the first (A) and second (B) annular surfaces being linked by a surface (C) with a generally truncated shape for guiding moving air downstream of the first valve seat (28a) when it is remote from the first annular surface (A).

The hub comprises an annular groove (29) which receives the inner peripheral bead of a rolling diaphragm (18) defining a front chamber (12) continuously linked to a vacuum source and a rear chamber (14) selectively connected to the front chamber (12) or to the atmosphere by a valve means (22a, 32a, 36). Said valve means is actuated by a rod (34) capable of engaging, through the front face of a plunger (32), the first face of a reaction disk (40) integral with the second face of a thrust rod (42). According to the invention, the rear tubular part (24') of the piston is snap-locked onto the hub (22').
