摘要: Embodiments described herein relate to a a glucose monitoring system, comprising a glucose sensor, wherein at least part of the glucose sensor is configured to be positioned in contact with interstitial fluid in a body of a user; a transmitter unit coupled to the glucose sensor and configured to process glucose data indicative of a monitored glucose level from the glucose sensor; and a receiver unit comprising a processor and a user interface, wherein the receiver unit is configured to receive the processed glucose data from the transmitter unit; wherein the processor is configured to: detect an alert condition associated with the glucose monitoring system; suppress output of an alarm through the user interface for a predetermined wait period following detecting the alert condition, wherein the predetermined wait period is user-selectable; detect that the alert condition still exists after expiry of the predetermined wait period; and cause the user interface to output the alarm based on the detected alert condition still existing.

摘要: Embodiments described herein relate to a glucose monitoring system having a glucose sensor positioned in contact with interstitial fluid in a body of a user. A transmitter unit is coupled to the glucose sensor and processes data indicative of a plurality of monitored glucose levels from the glucose sensor. A receiver unit receives the processed data from the transmitter unit. The receiver unit comprises a processor and a user interface having a touch-sensitive display to render a plurality of display screens, including a home screen and an alert screen. The home screen is divided into a plurality of simultaneously displayed panels, with a first panel displaying the plurality of monitored glucose levels, a second panel simultaneously displaying a current glucose level and a glucose trend indicator, and a third panel displays status information of a plurality of components of the system. When an alarm condition is detected, the display renders the alert screen in place of one of the first panel, the second panel, or the third panel. The alert screen displays information corresponding to the detected alarm condition. The display affects a further output corresponding to the detected condition in response to user actuation of a portion of the display.

摘要: A method comprising positioning a distal end of a housing on a skin surface, applying a predetermined force on the housing to displace an analyte monitoring assembly operatively coupled to an introducer mechanism from a first position within the housing to a second position, wherein at least a portion of an analyte sensor of the analyte monitoring assembly is in contact with an analyte under the skin surface, and further, wherein a distal surface of the analyte monitoring assembly is positioned on the skin surface, and wherein the analyte sensor comprises a glucose sensor, providing a bias mechanism within a hollow space of the housing to automatically retract the introducer mechanism from the second position to the first position, automatically retracting the introducer mechanism from the second position to the first position to be entirely retained within the housing, and providing, using Bluetooth communication, one or more data associated with a monitored level of an analyte to a remote location only in response to a request for data from the remote location.
