摘要: Embodiments of the invention provide amperometric analyte sensors having membranes made from materials selected to transport analytes such as glucose to an enzyme within the sensor while simultaneously inhibiting the movement of interfering species such as acetaminophen to the electrode within the sensor. While embodiments of the invention can be used in a variety of contexts, typical embodiments of the invention include glucose or ketone sensors used in the management of diabetes.

摘要: A fluid delivery device comprising a fluid reservoir; a transcutaneous access tool fluidly coupled to the fluid reservoir, the transcutaneous access tool including a needle or a trocar; and a transcutaneous access tool insertion mechanism for deploying the transcutaneous access tool, wherein the insertion mechanism is configured to insert and retract the needle/trocar in a single, uninterrupted motion. In certain embodiments, the fluid delivery device may comprise an infusion device comprising a fluid reservoir for containing a therapeutic fluid; and a transcutaneous access tool fluidly coupled to the fluid reservoir for delivering the therapeutic fluid subcutaneously and for introducing a monitoring test strip subcutaneously, and methods of use thereof.

摘要: A medical device includes a base having a first surface to be secured to a patient's skin. A first insertable member has a length portion extending from the first surface of the base for insertion. A second insertable member has a length portion extending from the first surface of the base for insertion through the patient's skin. The first insertable member includes a sensor member for sensing a biological condition, and the second insertable member includes an infusion cannula for infusing an infusion media. The distal end of the first insertable member and the distal end of the second insertable member are spaced apart by a first distance of at least 5.0 mm, for reducing interference of the infusion media from the infusion cannula with an operation of the sensor member.
