According to the invention, a processing of the half-pigs can be carried out precisely at high throughput, whereby, during processing of the half-pig (10), the same is fixed between a strip- or band-like first element (28, 30, 32, 34), running synchronously with the conveyor (23) on the side of the robot (18) facing the pig-half and at least one further element (42, 44) running on the opposite side.
