摘要: An apparatus comprising a video decoder is provided, for decoding image data for at least a portion of a picture using a quantization parameter predictor for a current quantization parameter to be applied to the image data, the quantization parameter predictor being determined using multiple quantization parameters from previously decoded neighboring portions; and decoding a difference value representative of a difference between the current quantization parameter and the quantization parameter predictor, wherein said difference value is added to said quantization parameter predictor for use in decoding the image data, and wherein said quantization parameter predictor is determined as a mean of the quantization parameters of the previously decoded neighboring portion to the left and the previously decoded neighboring portion above the portion currently being decoded when these neighboring portions are available, and if at least one of said neighboring portions is not available, the quantization parameter predictor is determined as a mean of quantization parameters of available neighboring portions and a quantization parameter for a current slice, wherein said portion of a picture is one of a block and a coding unit.

摘要: Various implementations are described. Several implementations relate to one or more encoding modes that use depth information to determine a corresponding reference block. According to a general aspect, a portion of a first-view image from a first view in a multiple-view system is encoded. The portion is all or part of the first-view image. It is determined that a portion of a second-view image from a second view in the multiple-view system corresponds to the portion of the first-view image. The determination is based on a second-view depth value providing depth information for the portion of the second-view image. The portion of the second-view image is encoded using information from the encoding of the portion of the first-view image.
