摘要: A treatment composition for treating human skin that has one or more particulate suspending agents in a concentration of from about 0.05% to about 2.0%, by weight, and one or more film forming polymers in a concentration of from about 0.1% to about 5.0%, by weight. Further, particles in a concentration of from about 1.0% to about 20.0%, by weight; one or more humectants in a concentration of from about 2.0% to about 20.0%, by weight; and, water are provided. The treatment compositions of this invention are used in an applicator having an applicator head having one or more applicator nozzles which may be in a array. The apparatus further has a reservoir containing the treatment composition, a sensor, and a CPU. The sensor takes an image of at least 10 μm2 of skin, the CPU analyzes the image to calculate one or more localized L values of individual pixels or group of pixels of the skin. Then the CPU compares the local L value to a predetermined background L value to identify skin deviations. A skin deviation occurs where the difference between the background L value and the local L value is greater than a predetermined &Dgr;LS value.

摘要: A micro electromechanical ink jet printing system that has a cartridge having a body that defines a core, and a die that contains one or more nozzles. There is a treatment composition contained within the cartridge core. The system further includes a CPU that is programmable and can control the application of the treatment composition from within the cartridge core, through the one or more nozzles to human skin. Typically, the treatment composition will contain a skin treatment ingredient selected from the group consisting of particles, vitamins, yeast and yeast extracts, skin care actives, dyes, colorants and mixtures thereof. There may optionally be provided a bladder or foam block disposed within the cartridge core for suspending and regulating the flow of the treatment composition. The systems of this invention may include an applicator having an applicator head having one or more applicator nozzles which may be in a array. The applicator has a sensor that takes an image of at least 10 μm2 of skin, the CPU analyzes the image to calculate one or more localized L values of individual pixels or group of pixels of the skin. Then the CPU compares the local L value to a predetermined background L value to identify skin deviations. A skin deviation occurs where the difference between the background L value and the local L value is greater than a predetermined ΔLS value.

摘要: Disclosed are personal care compositions, especially hair styling compositions, comprising from about 0.01 % to about 20 % of a non-silicone containing polymer suitable for hair styling; an amount of organopolysiloxane microemulsion such that the personal care composition comprises from about 0.01 % to about 10 % of organopolysiloxane; from about 0.1 % to about 20 % of a liquid hydrophilic non-polymeric cationic compound containing at least one quaternary ammonium moiety; and from about 3 % to about 99 % of a carrier. The organopolysiloxane microemulsion is substantially free of amino groups in combination with hydroxyl groups, has an average particle size of less than about 80 nanometers, and comprises a surfactant system for dispersing the organopolysiloxane in the microemulsion. The carrier in turn comprises from about 3 % to about 99 %, by weight of the composition, of a first solvent selected from the group consisting of water; water soluble organic solvents; organic solvents having strong to moderately strong hydrogen-bonding parameters; and mixtures thereof (excluding compounds disclosed as second solvents); and optionally, from about 0 % to about 55 % of a second solvent selected from the group consisting of C1-C3 monohydric alcohols, C1-C3 ketones, C1-C3 ethers, and mixtures thereof. The personal care composition in the present invention provides good style retention and improved hair aesthetics, e.g. blacker, shinier hair, without the disadvantages of stiff or sticky compositions. In addition, the present invention provides these same attributes while containing lower alcohols. Furthermore, it has been found that incorporation of select styling polymers and plasticizers provides additionally a restyle benefit.
