The invention concerns a system in which a terminal (702, 1300) and a communication network (110) are arranged to support a radio resource control suspend operation and a radio resource control resume operation. In the radio resource control suspend operation each of the terminal (702, 1300) and the communication network (110) stores respective radio resource control information related to a configured connected state of the terminal (702, 1300). The radio resource control information comprises radio resource configuration information belonging to a set of radio resources (e.g. bearers) associated with the configured connected state. In the radio resource control resume operation the terminal (702, 1300) and the communication network (110) each refers to the respectively stored radio resource control information for resuming an connected state of said terminal. A method of radio resource control in a communication network (110) entity designed for supporting a communication between a terminal and a communication network (110) that comprises the communication network entity (701, 901, 1200) is proposed. Communication between the communication network (110) and the terminal (702, 1300) is carried over one or more radio resources. The method comprises performing an admission control process during the radio resource control resume operation, where the admission control process comprises a procedure for examining whether the connected state is to be resumed according to the stored radio resource configuration information or if a radio resource reconfiguration procedure is to be performed for resuming the connected state.

A wireless device (100), a network node (102), a core node (104) and methods therein, for managing reachability of the wireless device. The wireless device (100) starts an AS (Access Stratum) reachable timer when entering an inactive state. If the AS reachable timer expires while still in the inactive state, the wireless device (100) sends to the network node (102) a reachable notification indicating that the wireless device (100) is reachable. If entering a connected state before the AS reachable timer expires, the wireless device (100) stops the AS reachable timer when changing from the inactive state to a connected state. If the core node (104) receives from the network node (102) a not reachable notification indicating that the wireless device (100) is not reachable, the wireless device (100) can be marked as not reachable via paging.

A UE, a SeNB and a MeNB are provided as well as respective method performed thereby for modifying a radio resource configuration of the SeNB with respect to the UE, currently being connected to the MeNB, wherein the UE, the SeNB and the MeNB are operable in a wireless communication system, the wireless communication system being adapted to provide for dual connectivity between the UE and the MeNB, and between the UE and the SeNB. The method performed by the UE comprises receiving (2310), from the MeNB, a SeNB configuration for the radio resource of the SeNB with respects to the UE; and sending (2320) a confirmation to the SeNB, confirming the received SeNB configuration. The method further comprises applying (2340) the received SeNB configuration for the radio resource configuration of the SeNB.
