Abstract:
An oral care implement demonstration assembly includes a powered oral care implement, a package housing and a plurality of demonstration elements. The oral care implement demonstration assembly is configured to produce a visual demonstration effect when relative movement is provided between a first demonstration element and a second demonstration element. Among the visual effects that may be utilized is a Moire effect. Additionally, an associated method for demonstrating features of an oral care implement though one or more visual effects is described herein.
Abstract:
A clamshell package (10) is provided for holding and displaying a consumer product that comprises a bottle (17) and a cap (19) . The clamshell package comprises a first clamshell side and a second clamshell side, wherein at least a portion of the first and second clamshell sides are affixed together to hold the consumer product between the first and second clamshell sides. The clamshell package further comprises an aperture (15) through which at least a portion of the cap of the consumer product extends from the clamshell package. The clamshell package is therefore able to hold and display the consumer product, while allowing a consumer to access the cap of the product in order to smell or to sample the product. A clamshell package is further provided for holding and displaying a consumer product comprising liquid composition contained in a tottle.

Abstract:
A powered operating device such as a powered toothbrush includes a test button for momentarily testing the operability of the device. The test button simultaneously presses against both the on portion and the off portion of the switch which controls the operation of the device. While pressure is applied to the test button, the device is placed in its operative condition and when the pressure is released, the geometric structure of the test button held by the package releases the on portion of the switch at the same time or just before the off portion. Thus, assuring that the switch turns off.
Abstract:
A blister package (12) of transparent plastics material having an actuation portion (18), an electrical device such as a flashlight (14) with a slider switch (32) disposed at least partially within the package, the device including a battery power source (22) and an activatable component such as a LED or light; and a package switch (46) with actuation element (66) having an activation condition and a deactivation condition and being changeable from its deactivation condition to its activation condition. The package and device combination being configured for the power source to form part of a closed electrical circuit with, and to activate, the activatable component when the package switch is in its activation condition, and for the circuit to be open once the package switch has changed to its deactivation condition. The consumer can test the operation of the packaged flashlight by operating the switch (46) to illuminate either the LED (24) or the fluorescent tube (26).
