The method involves providing first and second glass sheets, and a first enamel composition layer and at least one separation layer between the first and second glass sheets, and firing the glass sheets to sinter the first enamel composition to the first glass sheet. The separation layer is a black pigment separation layer, a refractory material separation layer, or an oxidizer separation layer. The separation layer can improve separation of the first and second glass sheets after the firing.

To a ceramic color paste containing a glass frit, a vehicle and a heat-resistant pigment is blended a large-diameter heat-resistant particle having a particle size larger than the average thickness of a dried coating film for forming a ceramic color; the large-diameter heat-resistant particle may include a particle having a particle size of from 1.2 to 20 times the average thickness; the large-diameter heat-resistant particle may has a proportion of from 0.1 to 30 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the total of the glass frit and the heat-resistant pigment; the large-diameter heat-resistant particle may be formed of a metal oxide; the large-diameter heat-resistant particle may be formed of a glass; the large-diameter heat-resistant particle may be nearly spherical; the large-diameter heat-resistant particle may have a melting point or a softening point higher than the firing temperature of the ceramic color paste; and the ceramic color paste of the present invention can render a glass plate being bent and formed without detracting from the performance and color tone of the ceramic color.

A coated article is provided which may be heat treated (e.g., thermally tempered) and/or heat bent in certain example instances. In certain example embodiments, a zinc stannate based layer is provided between a tin oxide based layer and a silicon nitride based layer, and this has been found to significantly reduce undesirable mottling damage upon heat treatment/bending. This results in significantly improved bendability of the coated article in applications such as vehicle windshields and the like.

It is the object of the invention to create a curved safety glass laminated by means of cast resin, including a production method for the safety glass, simultaneously having a plurality of colors and effects. According the method for the production of the curved safety glass laminated by means of cast resin, a pane packet, comprising at least two flat glass panes (1), are formed into a desired final shape in a bending furnace. The panes (1) are placed on top of each other congruently and at a distance from each other and are filled with cast resin (2). Attractive color combinations can be achieved by means of different method variants. The main fields of application of the curved safety panes (1) according to the invention that are laminated using cast resin are the building industry and the furniture industry.
