The pressurizing shoe (105) is provided within the jacket (101) at the position of the calender nip and presses the interior surface of the jacket (101) radially outward to pressurize the calender nip. The support members (106 to 110) are disposed inside the jacket (101) so that they are equally balanced in the peripheral direction of the jacket (101).
