摘要: An amorphous carbon film is provided with a density of 2.8 - 3.3 g/cm . It would be preferable for the film to have: a spin density of 1 x 10 - 1 x 10 spins/cm ; a carbon concentration of at least 99.5 atomic percentage; a hydrogen concentration of no more than 0.5 atomic percentage; an inert gas element concentration of no more than 0.5 atomic percentage; and a Knoop hardness of 3000 - 7000. A mixed layer with a thickness of at least 0.5 nm and no more than 10 nm is formed from a parent material and at least material selected from: B, Al, Ti, V, Cr, Zr, Nb, Mo, Hf, Ta, and W. An amorphous carbon film is disposed on the mixed layer or a metallic intermediate layer formed on the mixed layer, thereby increasing adhesion. This amorphous carbon film is formed with solid carbon using sputtering, cathode-arc ion plating, or laser abrasion.

It is preferable that a plurality of porous members are stacked. It is also preferable that the holes of porous members are formed as diameter-varied holes, and an area of opening of each diameter-varied hole formed in the surface opposite to a sound source is largest and the area of opening of each the diameter-varied hole is reduced in a direction of the thickness of the porous member. Moreover, it is also preferable that the sound absorbing structure further comprises a coating film formed on at least a surface of the porous member which is opposite to a sound source wherein the holes penetrates the coating film and the porous member.

摘要: The invention provides a single or a multilayer PVD coated sharp edged cutting tool, which can at the same time exhibit satisfactory wear and thermochemical resistance as well as resistance to edge chipping. The cutting tool comprises a sintered body made of a cemented carbide, a CBN, a cermet or a ceramic material having a cutting edge with an edge radius Re, a flank and a rake face and a multilayer coating consisting of a PVD coating comprising at least one oxidic PVD layer covering at least parts of the surface of the sintered body. In one embodiment the edge radius Re is smaller than 40 μm, preferably smaller than or equal to 30 μm. The covered parts of the surface preferably comprise at least some parts of the sharp edge of the sintered body.

摘要: A wear resistant member formed of silicon nitride sintered body having a volume of 4000 mm 3 or more, the silicon nitride sintered body containing 1 to 5 mass% of a rare earth component in terms of rare earth element, 1 to 6 mass% of an Al component in terms of Al element, 10 to 3500 ppm of an Fe component in terms of Fe element, and 10 to 1000 ppm of a Ca component in terms of Ca element, wherein a ²-phase ratio of silicon nitride crystal grains is 95% or more, a maximum longer diameter of the silicon nitride crystal grains is 40 µ m or less, and each of dispersions in Vickers hardness and fracture toughness of an inner portion of the wear resistant member is within a range of ±10 %. According to this structure, the wear resistant member can be manufactured with a low cost, and there can be provided a wear resistant member comprising a silicon nitride sintered body excellent in reliability and the dispersion in characteristics is effectively suppressed.

摘要: Hot-stamped steel includes: a base metal that is steel including a tempered portion having hardness corresponding to 85% or less of the highest quenching hardness, the highest quenching hardness being defined as a Vickers hardness at a depth position spaced away from a surface layer by 1/4 times a sheet thickness in a case of performing water quenching after heating at a temperature equal to or higher than an A c3 point and retention for 30 minutes; and a Zn coating layer that is formed on the tempered portion of the base metal. The Zn coating layer includes a solid-solution layer including a solid-solution phase that contains Fe and Zn that is solid-soluted in Fe, and a lamella layer that includes the solid-solution phase and a capital gamma phase. In the Zn coating layer, an area ratio of the lamella layer is 30 to 100% and an area ratio of the solid-solution layer is 0 to 70%.
