The air purification device comprises an air inlet (132), an air outlet (134), a photocatalytic volume (150), a first solid state light emitter (102) and a second solid state light emitter (122). The air inlet receives an air flow (140). The photocatalytic volume comprises a photocatalytic material and the air flow flows through the photocatalytic volume to contact some air with the photocatalytic material. The photocatalytic volume is between the air inlet and the air outlet. The photocatalytic material is a catalyst under the influence of UV light in photoreactions between gasses in the air flow. The first solid state light emitter emits UV light towards the photocatalytic volume. The second solid state light emitter emits deep blue light towards the photocatalytic volume. The electric dust collecting device includes a first filter unit including a plurality of discharge electrode plates which are spaced apart from each other and have spaces defined therebetween, a high voltage generator electrically connected to all of the plurality of discharge electrode plates, and a second filter unit disposed downstream of the first filter unit in an air flow direction and connected to a ground to cause corona discharge between the discharge electrode plates and the second filter unit, whereby particles electrically charged by corona discharge are collected at the second filter unit. A fresh air damper is electrically connected to the IOB, the IOB controlling the position of the fresh air damper valve. An air purifier is situated such that air from the indoor space passes through the purifier. The operation of state of operation of the purifier is based at least in part on the input from at least one IAQ sensor to improve the IAQ of the indoor space.
