The exhaust gas treatment equipment includes: a tubular collection unit composed of a discharge electrode for charging particulate matters contained in exhaust gas from the engine and a precipitation electrode for collecting the particulate matters charged; a PM-low-concentration exhaust gas delivery pipe and a PM-high-concentration exhaust gas delivery pipe; a PM-free scrubber provided in the PM-low-concentration exhaust gas delivery pipe; a precipitation means for separating and collecting the particulate matters detached from the tubular collection unit by using a cyclone for precipitation; a burning device for burning PM precipitated by the precipitation means; and a recirculation pipe for recirculating combustion exhaust gas generated in the burning device to the collection unit or an exhaust pipe on the upstream side of the collection unit.

The air cleaning device comprises a separating unit (6) and an ionizing unit (3) arranged to charge airborne particles present in the flow of air and transmit at least a major part of the charged particles towards the separating unit. The ionizing unit comprises at least one collector electrode (5) and at least one emitter electrode (4). The separating unit is arranged to attract at least some of the charged particles so as to separate them from the flow of air. Further, the at least one collector electrode is shaped so as to conduct at least a portion of the flow of air and has a spherically curved inner surface (15) and the emitter electrode is centered with respect to the spherically curved inner surface of the collector electrode. The present aspect is advantageous in that the air cleaning efficiency of the air cleaning device is improved.

Provided is a marine diesel engine exhaust gas treatment system capable of reliably removing a particulate matter and sulfur oxides contained in exhaust gas emitted from a marine diesel engine. The marine diesel engine exhaust gas treatment system includes: an electrostatic precipitator apparatus (7) that collects a PM of exhaust gas emitted from the marine diesel engine; a seawater scrubber (9) that sprays seawater to the exhaust gas from which the PM is removed by the electrostatic precipitator apparatus, to remove SOx from the exhaust gas; an exhaust gas component detector (LA3) that detects a component of the exhaust gas treated by the electrostatic precipitator apparatus and the seawater scrubber; a seawater component regulator (9C) that recovers the seawater sprayed by the seawater scrubber, to perform component regulation on the recovered seawater; a seawater circulator (9D) that returns, to the seawater scrubber, the seawater that is subjected to the component regulation by the seawater component regulator; and an exhaust gas treatment controller that regulates an operating state of the electrostatic precipitator apparatus and an operating state of the seawater scrubber in such a manner that a component remaining in the exhaust gas that is detected by the exhaust gas component detector falls within a prescribed range.
