摘要： A handset cable reel for use e.g. in passenger aircraft comprises a spool fitted with a rewind bias spring, the spool also having peripheral teeth 82. These interact with an oscillating pawl 62, a ratchet/star wheel 60 and a pawl 57 so that, after the cable has been extended a certain amount, repeatedly releasing and then pulling on the cable will alternately lock the spool to prevent retraction of the cable by the rewind bias, and then allow such retraction under the influence of the rewind spring. A driving key 100 on the spool indexes a cam wheel 88 for rotation so that as the final length of the cable is being rewound, a cam surface 96 rotates the pawl 57 about a pin 48 so that it no longer co-operates with the star/ratchet wheel 60 and the cable remains under spring tension even if inadvertently tugged.

摘要： An accessory for remote speaking and/or listening to a mobile telephone comprises a unit having means for connection to an associated mobile telephone of a microphone and/or earpiece or headset on a dispensable lead electrically connected to the connection means and adapted to be housed within the unit. A spool fitted with spring means is contained within the unit which has the lead wound on its outer surface. When the microphone and/or earpiece or headset is withdrawn from the unit for use the spring is tensioned through rotation of the spool. The microphone and/or earpiece or headset is rewound by the spring means by operation of a catch which releases the stored tension. The dispensable lead is preferably wound on the circumference of the spool when not in use and a ratchet or similar device is fitted to the spool which prevents rotation in the opposite sense to the spool rotation created by withdrawing the audio unit lead, operation of the catch disables the ratchet or similar device when the audio unit ceases to be used and the audio lead is rewound. The dispensable lead is connected to the main body of the telephone by supplementary contacts on the main unit which mate with contacts on the telephone body which may contain a rechargeable battery. Alternatively the unit can replace the detachable back of a mobile telephone which covers the battery. The unit can take the form of a pendant or a thin card-shaped pack with a short supplementary lead to connect it to the associated mobile telephone.

摘要： A wire winding box for using in a short distance is disclosed. A case with single receiving tank or two receiving tanks are pivotally installed with a rotary disk which is driven by a spiral spring. A communication wire firstly passes through a pivotal shaft for engaging with the rotary disk, then is bent through a proper angle, then is pulled to a ring at the rotary disk, and then it is pulled out from the line outlet or is wound. Therefore, as the rotary disk rotates, the wire will wound around the ring for sliding and then wind around the pivotal shaft and the ring so as to be pulled out or rewound rapidly. Thereby, no conductive device is required to be placed in the wire winding box. The manufacturing process can be reduced greatly for mass production. Besides, a swingable piece and a ratchet wheel which are overlapped partially and can swing freely are pivotally installed in the receiving tank aside the rotary disk. Accordingly, through the regular action of alternatively pulling and releasing, the wire can be positioned and rewound, and the user may clearly know the action of the wire. Therefore, the present invention can be used easily and conveniently.

In some embodiments the headset is a multifunctional portable device comprising an electronic unit, control means, cord winding and storage means, additional batteries, and microphone arrays, which makes it possible to keep the headset on the body throughout the day.
