An overhanging area (3), positioned on component (1) and surrounded by sealing material, serves as a stop and permits component (1) to be flush-mounted in a housing (7) from the inside. A wedge-shaped elevation (4) of sealing material, which acts as a pinch or fold and is positioned in the overhanging area (3), improves the flush mounting still further. For outdoor installation, the plate-shaped component (1) may be additionally provided with heating as well as temperature measuring means (5, 8). For this purpose, the component (1) may comprise connecting electrodes for power supply as well as heating wires extending therebetween, or an areal oxide layer suitable for the same purpose, which, if required, may be a transparent and thus invisible layer.

The present invention relates to a structure of positioning a cathode ray tube (8) in a cabinet of a television receiver (10). In the television receiver, at least one portion of each of front window frames (10a,b,c,d) of the cabinet (10) for positioning the cathode ray tube (8) therein is formed as to be elastically deformable outwardly due to a contacting relationship between the cathode ray tube (8) and the cabinet (10) when assembling them. Because at least one portion of each of the front window frames (10a,b,c,d) is elastically deformed, a variation in a dimensional relationship between the cabinet (10) and the cathode ray tube (8) caused when securing the cathode ray tube (8) to the cabinet (10) can be compensated. Preferably, the front window frame (10a,b,c,d) is formed in such a manner that a thickness thereof is gradually reduced from the proximal end (10A) toward the free end (10B).

To fulfill said object the device of this invention includes a first and a second member, one of them being integral with one of the bodies to be connected, while the second is non-rotatably slidable within the first member, and is biased to partially project out of the latter, by resilient means interposed between the first and the second member, said resilient means keeping said second member abutting against a fastening portion of the second body, the subject device including means for mutual fastening of the first to the second member, and to said fastening portion of the second body.
