Abstract:
A sole assembly (30) including an outer sole (26), a film of heat activatable adhesive (10) and a release film (12) is provided. The sole can be bonded to an upper by removing the release liner, activating the adhesive and attaching the upper.
Abstract:
An apparatus for producing toe caps for safety shoes and the like made of aluminum, aluminum alloys and light alloys in general, comprising a bottom die and a top die which can be associated with respective platens and can be mated so as to form at least one impression. The apparatus further comprises at least one male plug that can be inserted in the impression in order to form the shape of the part being formed and is suitable to act as a flow control element for the duct for introducing the liquid metal in the impression.
Abstract:
A cleat (10) to be used on a golf shoe is disclosed. The cleat (10) includes a cleat body (3), securing means (4) and a plurality of long legs (1) and short legs (2). The long legs (1) and the short legs (2) are provided alternately on the cleat body (3). The long legs (1) protrude outwardly from the cleat body (3) having an angle with an imaginary plane normal to the axis of the cleat in the range 70 ± 15 degrees. The long legs (1) are rigid enough to penetrate through grass while the short legs (2) are rigid enough to retain their shape on a hard surface and press grass hard from above. The cleat having voids between the long and short legs provides excellent grips on grass as grass blades and stalks enter the voids and entangle with the long legs (1) and the short legs (2).
Abstract:
Abstract:
A magnetic insole (100) having sufficient magnetic strength and placement of the magnet (12) to allow the magnetic force to render a therapeutic effect on the wearer is provided. The magnet is of sufficient strength to generate a magnetic field of 500 Gauss at a distance of about five centimeters from the surface of the magnet. Within the finished insole, the magnetic is positioned such that the magnet will be in the area which receives the least amount of foot pressure during use by the wearer. Methods of manufacturing the molded magnetic insoles of the present invention are also provided.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing shoes with foamed soles includes: (a) providing a foamable mixture; (b) heating and foaming the foamable mixture to form a foamed insole blank (32); (c) providing a sole (35); (d) providing a shoe tree (39); (e) providing a vamp (30) on the shoe tree; (f) placing the sole coated with glue, the foamed insole blank coated with glue, the vamp, and the shoe tree into a pressing mold for pressing and bonding them together; (g) heating an outer periphery of the foamed insole blank locally; and (h) pressing the outer periphery of the foamed insole blank so as to form knurls on the outer periphery of the foamed insole blank, thereby forming a final shoe product.
Abstract:
Sole (1) or insole (1.1) is crimped in mold (6) round detachable or detachables (6.1) which are orthogonal to its inner base (6.2), with a support (3) attached to the rear of either one, on the surface of mold (6), so that removing the set is aided by a simple pressure of the user on support (3) where it meets detachable (6.1), then proceeding to incorporate insert (4) or inserts, in different shapes and colors, inside the space (2) or spaces of sole (1) or insole (1.1).
Abstract:
This invention concerns an injection moulding process for soles having a coloured treading surface produced with expansible and cross-linking "EVA" compounds involving the use of coloured inserts (5) moulded with the same moulding material used for sole, but of a different colour, fed into cups (4) on the bottom of the mould impression and shut by caps (8) also moulded in the same material used to mould the soles.
Abstract:
A fluid-filled chamber (40) may be incorporated into footwear and other products. The chamber is formed from a polymer material that defines a first surface (41), a second surface (42) located opposite the first surface, and a sidewall surface (43) extending around a periphery of the chamber and between the first surface and the second surface. A plurality of bonds (45) are spaced inward from the sidewall surface and join the first surface and the second surface, and the bonds are distributed to form a regularly-spaced array, such as a hexagonal array. In some configurations, the first surface and the second surface may define elliptically-shaped structures between the bonds. In addition, the bonds may be formed to have a slope that is an average of slopes of the first surface and the second surface in areas proximal the bonds.
