Abstract:
An article of footwear may have an upper and a sole structure secured to the upper. The sole structure includes a fluid-filled chamber with a first surface, an opposite second surface, and a third surface extending between the first and second surfaces. Whereas the first surface and the second surface each have a thickness of one sheet of a polymer material, the third surface has a thickness of two overlapping sheets of the polymer material. The third surface may be exposed to an exterior of the footwear to form a portion of a side surface of the sole structure.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns the footwear sector and more specifically it concerns a membrane to be fitted as an accessory in the front part or covering the entire surface of the footbed of shoe soles consisting of a support in hydrophilic or breathable and waterproof material onto which a series of suction cups having the shape of an open hourglass or of bellows or of a cylinder are directly moulded in flexible thermoplastic material fitted facing the part where the foot rests in order to provide efficacious ventilation and waterproofing of the shoe and greater comfort during walking.
Abstract:
A vapor-permeable and waterproof sole for shoes, which comprises: - at least one first load-bearing component (12, 112), which has at least one vapor-permeable or perforated portion (13, 1 13), which comprises a vapor-permeable or perforated filler (14, 114), - at least one second component (19, 119), which is predominantly arranged below the first component (12, 1 12) and on which a tread (20, 120) is provided; this second component (19, 1 19) has through perforations substantially at the vapor-permeable or perforated portion (13, 1 13) of the first component (12, 112).Below the vapor-permeable or perforated portion (13, 113) and above the tread (20, 120) a membrane (21, 121) made of a material which is impermeable to water and permeable to water vapor is provided. The first component (12, 112) is constituted by a plastic midsole (15, 1 15), the outermost peripheral portion (16, 116) whereof, when the sole (11, 1 11) is associated with an upper, is visible. The midsole (15, 115) is rigidly coupled to the membrane (21, 121) and to the filler (14, 114) by molding before providing the tread (20, 120). A single peripheral seal is provided on the membrane (21, 121) and is formed by the molding of the midsole (15, 115); the midsole (15, 1 15) surrounds peripherally the membrane (21, 121).
Abstract:
A shoe (1) of the type which comprises a sole (3) and an upper (2), the sole (3) comprising a plantar insert (4), at least one layer (5) for covering the lower surface of the plantar insert (4) with perimetric edges (6) which substantially protrude outward with respect to the contour of the plantar insert (4), at least one flap (7, 8) for covering the upper surface of the plantar insert (4), which also has a perimetric border (7a, 8a) which substantially protrudes outward with respect to the contour of the plantar insert (4). The edge (6) and the border (7a, 8a) are rigidly coupled to each other and to the upper (2). The covering layer (5) of the lower surface of the plantar insert (4) can be covered with a base (10) of wear-resistant material.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a cross-linked foam having a shock-absorbing means for an insole of shoes comprises a cross-linked foam body; an inner cavity structure formed in the cross-linked foam body, the inner cavity structure formed simultaneously with the cross-linked foam body; and a filler in the inner cavity structure. The filler may be filled into and sealed by a housing that is formed in the inner cavity structure. According to the present invention, the shock-absorbing means having a greater thickness than the cross-linked foam body can easily be formed in the cross-linked foam body and the inner cavity structure can be shaped along a shape of a bare foot to offer more comfortable fitting.
Abstract:
The present invention refers to a process used to cut and model sheets of leather or other modellable materials, according to which cutting and modelling are carried out by means of a die and a lid-punch that cooperate to cut a leather sheet positioned and tightened between the die and the lid-punch according to predefined cutting lines and at the same time model the sheet in a stable way by means of a plastic film injected on one of the two sides of the sheet.
Abstract:
Among other things, the present invention provides apparatus and methods for manufacturing footwear pieces. In various cases, the apparatus includes a footwear form (1260) that includes a location mark corresponding to a location of a strap rivet. The footwear form is an inner portion of a footwear mold, and the footwear mold is comprised of an upper portion (1210) and a lower portion (1220) that substantially encompass the footwear form.
