An object of the invention is to improve cooling efficiency of a magnetron by forming a region where cooling fins are sparse and a region where cooling fins are dense when the cooling fins are viewed in a flowing direction of a cooling medium of the magnetron. A magnetron of the invention includes: an anode tube in which permanent magnets are disposed at both ends thereof; and a plurality of cooling fins which are placed on a periphery of the anode tube, and which are arranged along a central axis of the anode tube. Each of the plurality of cooling fins includes at least two sets of fins which are formed by cutting a part of the cooling fin, and performing different bending works on the cut portions, respectively, so as to form a region where the cooling fins are dense and a region where the cooling fins are sparse, when viewed in a flowing direction of a cooling medium which cools the anode tube through the plurality of cooling fins. The at least two sets of fins are bent at bending angles such that intervals of the cooling fins in the region where the cooling fins are dense are 1/2 or less of placement intervals of the cooling fins.

A magnetron has an anode body (1) and including a ceramic sleeve (7). In higher power generators, stray radiation is emitted from this sleeve in addition to the main power launched from the antenna into the waveguide (2), and RF absorbing material is provided. Such absorbers, however, tend to be frequency-selective, and can overheat. According to the invention, a non-metallic jacket (13) containing a dielectric liquid such as water surrounds the sleeve. This provides absorption over a broad band of frequencies, and it is easy to make the jacket have a sufficiently high thermal capacity, for example, by arranging a flow of liquid through it.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine verbesserte Röhre (100), insbesondere eine Elektronenröhre, und ein verbessertes System zur Ansteuerung der Elektroden und/oder der Heizung einer Röhre sowie zur Bestimmung der Lebensdauer einer Röhre. Eine erfindungsgemäße Röhre (100) weist einen evakuierten oder gasgefüllten Bereich (110) auf, in welchem eine oder mehrere Elektroden (140, 190) sowie Mittel (150) zur Messung der Temperatur einer der Elektroden (140, 190) angeordnet sind. Der Vorteil der vorliegenden Erfindung ist darin zu sehen, daß mit verhältnismäßig geringem Aufwand eine präzise Ermittlung der Elektrodentemperatur einer Röhre (100) erfolgen kann. Dadurch kann zum einen die Lebensdauer der Röhre genauer vorhergesagt werden. Andererseits ist es durch Überwachen der Elektrodentemperatur und entsprechendes Ansteuern der Elektroden und/oder der Elektrodenheizung möglich, die Elektrodentemperatur exakt auf einem gewünschten Wert (Sollwert) zu halten.

Treatment chamber, in particular for drying leather and similar, comprising as a heating system several magnetrons (M4) incorporated in the walls. The cooling devices (KV) of these magnetrons are permanent components of the treatment chamber; only certain parts (WEB) of the magnetrons are replaced, which have a limited service life. The treatment chamber is loaded by means of trolleys (BW) equipped with twin wheel sets with at least three axles. In a variant, the treatment chamber is loaded by means of a flat frame (FR) which is slid into the upper part of said chamber.
