摘要: Methods, a user equipment, a base station and a computer program product for managing assignments between user equipments and cooperation areas are provided. The present invention discloses receiving, at a base station belonging to a cooperation area, a connection request message from a user equipment to be connected to the cooperation area. The connection request message includes a parameter indicating preference information. It is determined, on the basis of the parameter, whether the user equipment is allowed to connect to the cooperation area. A connection acknowledgement/non-acknowledgement message is forwarded from the base station to the user equipment. The present invention discloses acquiring information about reachable cooperation areas, determining preference information with respect to the reachable cooperation areas, sending a connection request message including preference information to a reachable cooperation area, and selecting the cooperation area to which the connection request message was sent if a connection acknowledgement message is received.

摘要: Modified type II control state information (CSI) reporting for achieving explicit CSI knowledge is provided. A method may be performed by providing, to a user equipment, a plurality of channel state information reference signals over a single beam and receiving channel state information from the user equipment. Explicit channel state information may be determined from a channel transfer function for some or all frequency subbands based on the received channel state information.

摘要: Apparatuses and methods in a communication system are disclosed. A channel predictor is determined (602) to be used in a connection between a base station and a terminal device. The predictor is trained (610) using channel state information of the connection and a predictor function determined to be used both in the base station and terminal device. The base station calculates (614) a predicted state of the channel utilising the predictor function and transmits (616) payload data to the terminal device. The base station receives (618) update information to the predicted state of the channel from the terminal device, where the update information is the variation between the channel predicted at the terminal device and the measured channel.

摘要: It is described a method for configuring a communication channel between a base station (101) and a user equipment (102) within a cellular network system (100), the cellular network system comprising a cooperation area (104), wherein the base station (101) and at least one further base station (103) are assigned to the cooperation area (104), wherein the user equipment (102) is served by the base station (101). The method comprises de- termining, by the base station (101), whether all user data of the user equipment (102) being required for a precoding coordinated multipoint transmission is received by each of the base station (101) and the at least one further base station (103), selecting a transmission mode, wherein the transmission mode is based, if all user data of the user equipment (102) being required for a precoding coordinated multipoint transmission is received by each of the base station (101) and the at least one further base station (103), on precoding coordinated multipoint transmission, or else, on an interference reducing transmission, and configuring, by the base station (101), the communication channel between the base station (101) and the user equipment (102) based on the selected transmission mode.

摘要: Cells of a cellular communications network are divided into a plurality of areas (S11). For each area, measurement event data is determined (S12), wherein the measurement event data trigger a measurement event in a user equipment, and when the measurement event is detected by the user equipment based on the measurement event data, the measurement event is reported by the user equipment. Map forming data is generated for forming a map associating location data of the user equipment with the measurement event data (S13), and the map forming data is transmitted (S14). A user equipment in the cellular communications network determines location data and, based on the determined location data, derives measurement event data for triggering the measurement event, from the map. When the measurement event is detected based on the derived measurement event data, the user equipment reports the measurement event.
