Die Hülse ist aus zwei offenen Daumenschalen (11,21) gebildet, deren Biegeradien flexibel sind und deren Ueberlappungsbereich stufenlos einstellbar und mindestens im Gebrauchszustand mittels mindestens eines zweiten Befestigungsmittels (27,28) fixierbar ist. Die erste Daumenschale (11) ist am Handrückenteil (10) und die zweite Daumenschale (21) am Handflächenteil (20) angeformt. Die Daumenschiene weist steife Bereiche zur Fixierung des Daumens in seiner Lage und flexible Bereiche zur Grösseneinstellung und Befestigung an der Hand auf.
