A reverse opening slide fastener (1) in accordance with the invention is provided with a pair of left and right first and second fastener stringers (10, 20), a pair of first and second separable connection members (30, 40) which are firmly fixed to the first and second fastener stringers (10, 20), and a pair of first and second sliders (50, 60), the first slider (50) is arranged in a side closer to the first separable connection member (30) than the second slider (60), and a connection and separation operation can be carried out by inserting and removing the second separable connection member (40) into and from the first and second sliders (50, 60). The second separable connection member (40) has an inserting and removing region which can be inserted into and removed from the first and second sliders (50, 60) via a gap between upper and lower flanges (55, 56, 65, 66) of the first and second sliders (50, 60). Further, a positioning structure which decides a relative position between the first separable connection member (30) and the second separable connection member (40) at a time of a fitting and inserting operation of the second separable connection member (40) is arranged, whereby it is possible to reduce a possibility that an insertion of the second separable connection member (40) becomes insufficient at a time of inserting the second separable connection member (40) into the first and second sliders (50, 60), and it is possible to improve an operability of the connection and separation operation.
