摘要： With the starting point in a conventional, rectangular box or carton packaging for ice-cream, it is disclosed that distinct advantages can be gained by configuring the lower parts of the corners of the packaging with an oblique surface (2), so that the corner angles seen from the inside are increased to more than 90°, while the side and end surfaces (8,10) of the packaging can otherwise continue to form mutual angles of 90°, whereby it is achieved that the packaging can in a safe manner be stacked together in pallet-conveyed groups, and without the lower narrowing inwards resulting in any significant reduction in the contents volume of the packaging.

摘要： A carton, such as for containing and protecting a single, wedge-shaped piece of dessert-type pie, comprises generally parallel, triangular top and bottom panels (14, 40) each having a base edge (16, 28) and converging side edges (18, 20, 42, 44). A trapezoidal rear wall (26) is foldably coupled to the base edges and extends between the top and bottom panels (14, 40). An inner side wall panel (50, 52) is foldably coupled to each of the converging edges (18, 20) of the bottom panel (14) and extends generally straight upwardly therefrom. An outer side wall panel (66, 68) is foldably connected to each of the converging edges (42, 44) of the top panel (40) and extends generally straight downward therefrom. The outer side panels (66, 68) are closed adjacently to, overlying and affixed along one edge to the inner side wall panels (42, 44). Each outer side wall panel (66, 68) has an opening structure (84) comprised of a generally central, deflectable, finger-receiving opening tab (86) and a line of weakness (88) generally co-linear with the opening tab. The line of weakness (88) includes two spaced lines (90, 92) of intermittent incisions (93) which diverge from said opening tab (86) at an angle with respect to one another in the direction of the ends of said outer side wall panels (66, 68). The invention also encompasses a flat blank for forming into the carton and another embodiment wherein the opening structure includes a generally central, finger-operated opening edge and lines of weakness extending from the opening edge.
