The invention relates to a spinning machine for producing several endless synthetic threads. The spinning machine consists of a spinning device for melt spinning the threads and a winding device for winding the thread. A thread gathering device is positioned between the spinning device and the winding device, which cuts and sucks up the threads when there is an irregularity in the threadline of at least one thread. To this end the thread gathering device has a movable thread guide with a thread guide groove in the threadline plane, a cutting device and a suction device. The cutting device and suction device are arranged on one side of the beer in the threadline plane. The thread guide is positioned on the opposite side of the beer and is moved in the direction of the cutting device for cutting the threads.
