Each shroud has a throat which increases the velocity of the prevailing wind passing through the shroud. The plurality of wind turbines are each operably positioned in the throat of one of the plurality of shrouds. The power system is adapted for converting mechanical energy from the plurality of wind turbines to electrical energy. The support tower includes a central tower for supporting the shrouds and wind turbines above the surface, and may further include peripheral towers, guys, and/or other structural components.

Durch seine im Verhältnis zum Laufraddurchmesser kurze axiale Länge und die mögliche Verwendung von plattenförmigen Elementen, aus denen das Gehäuse der Kleinwindkraftanlage aufgebaut ist, ergeben sich geringe Fertigungskosten und vielfältige Möglichkeiten zur Integration der Windkraftanlage in, an, auf oder zwischen Gebäuden.

The object of description is an energy generating device for harnessing submarine currents composed of an asymmetric nozzle capable of directing the water flow towards one or more turbines placed (5) before the said nozzle's outlet (4). The nozzle's inlet is asymmetric in shape; one surface of the aforementioned inlet extends beyond its opposite surface, thus acting as a lifting surface producing a force with a component perpendicular to the current flow. The device is moored with a tether-line system (7) which enables the said device to remain in equilibrium, by counteracting the vertical component of the tether' s tension, with the vertical lift due to the water flowing through the asymmetric nozzle.

Power plant and process for the generation of electric energy through forced wind power. The plant includes a self-standing vertical structure, anchored to the ground, featuring a suitable diameter and height. Through this structure a powerful airflow operates one or more wind generators which is/are located inside. The plant is provided with several air inlets at the bottom, and an outlet at the top for discharging the air and at least one wind generator interposed between the afore-mentioned inlet -outlet. The tangible difference in the air density and temperature between high and low altitude generates a positive air flow moving from the bottom to the top and operates the internal generators regardless from the presence of winds or air flows. Suitable heating devices are located at the chimney bottom and boost the natural draught effect. A microprocessor controls the heating means in order to achieve a constant temperature at the air inlet and consequently a constant speed and a constant electric output.
