    摘要: The invention relates to a Soxhlet type asphalt extractor for extracting through a filter (3) asphalt in an asphalt mixture (C) within the filter (3) by condensing a solvent (A), which has evaporated from a flask (1), in a cooler (4) and dripping the solvent in the filter (3). The flask (1) and the filter (3) are covered by a heat insulating casing (51), and are heated and kept warm by heat from a gas burner (2). In order to lower a boiling point of the solvent (A) in the flask (1), pressure in the flask (1), filter (3) and the cooler (4) is reduced by a pressure reducing device (6).

    摘要: Apparatus for breaking or separating a liquid mixture or emulsion having two or more components. The apparatus includes a closed vessel having one or more sequentially connected filtering compartments holding a filtering element such as a membrane assembly capable of achieving a multi-stage pervaporation to separate out a vaporous component of the solution. The apparatus further includes a bypass facility which interconnects adjacent filtering compartments. To compensate for the loss of heat energy during the vaporization segments, the residual liquid solution is bypassed into a second vaporization phase, the bypass facility including heating means for maintaining the residual solution of a predetermined liquid temperature prior to its entering the second or subsequent filtering phase.

    摘要: A process for efficiently producing common salt rich in mineral components from the sea water by utilizing natural energy without using petroleum or electricity. According to this process, the sea water is allowed to gradually flow down from an upper portion of a liquid permeable hollow tower, whereby the sea water is concentrated to prepare the brine. To the brine is then added the salt such that components having small degree of solubility are precipitated and sedimented. The resulting brine is then introduced into an evaporator to distill off the water at atmospheric temperature and under atmospheric humidity conditions thereby to obtain the common salt.

    摘要: A mechanical water still (10) includes an impervious dome-like upper surface (12) and a membrane base (14) that is coupled (26) to the impervious dome-like structure (12) to form, when inflated, a chamber (20). The membrane base (14) supports a water pervaporation process therethrough. A water collection well (16) has an opening into which water droplets condensed from the water prevaporation process collect. The water collection well (16) is sited within the membrane base (14) and generally extends outwardly and downwardly from the membrane base (14), as shown in FIG. 1. In use, a contaminated water source (24) is brought into, ideally, complete contact with the membrane base (14), with the water collection well (16) arranged both to act as a heat sink into the water source (24) and to provide stability to the water still (10) when floating and immersed in the water source (24).
