The separator of this invention comprises an inlet mouth for material (1). This inlet mouth (1) communicates with a cylindrical element (3), which has a slot on the other side of the inlet mouth (1). On the outer face of the cylinder (3) are disposed outside elements (5) that glide, possibly rotating, on cylindrical element (3). The external elements (5) take away the material composed of pulp or particles smaller than the size of the holes of cylindrical element (3) passing through said cylindrical element holes (3). Preferably, the external elements (5) scrape the outer face of the cylinder (3) over the entire length of the cylinder (3). The material in the pulp is carried out by a first screw conveyor (7). The stones fall through a slit in a second screw conveyor (6).

When eggs are boiled in an electric egg boiler there is the risk that egg content escapes through openings in the shell and dirties the appliance. The aim of the invention is to provide easy maintenance and to easily clean the dirty components in such a case. According to prior art, the electric components (2, 6, 10, 11) cannot be easily cleaned. According to the invention, all electric components (2, 6, 10, 11) of the egg boiler are arranged above the position of the eggs (1) in such a way that essentially and only the mechanic components which are situated next to or below said eggs (1) become dirty, whereby said eggs (1) are to be boiled and said mechanic components can be removed in an advantageous manner and are optionally dish washer proof. Maintenance of an electric egg boiler is thus essentially simplified.

The controller is comprised of a temperature sensor input for receiving an output of a temperature sensor and a system for initiating the cooking of a food product based upon a set cook temperature and a set cooking time. Plural indications of incremental energy that is absorbed by the food product during the cooking are dtermined, wherein each of the plural indications of incremental energy is based upon a difference between a temperature determined at the temperature sensor input and a desired internal temperature of the food product. The end of the cooking is established when the total of the plural indications of incremental energy is one of equal to and greater than an ideal energy to prepare the food product based upon the set cooking time and the cooking temperature.

Garzeit ist in dem Gerät, insbesondere in dessen Zentralkörper, eine elektronische Schaltung enthalten mit einem Temperaturfühler (17), einem Zeitglied (22) und einem akustischen Signalbaustein (23), welche Bausteine derart geschaltet sind, daß bei Erreichen einer vorgegebenen Temperatur der Temperaturfühler (17) das Zeitglied (21) ansteuert, welches nach Ablauf voreingestellter Zeitspannen den Signalbaustein (23) mit unterschiedlichen Steuerbefehlen ansteuert, derart, daß jedes Signal bzw. jede Signalfolge von dem voraufgegangenen verschieden ist.

Verfahren zum Zentrieren des Eidotters eines Eies während des Kochvorganges Um den Eidotter eines Eies (1) während des Kochvorganges zu zentrieren, wird das Ei (1) bei vorzugsweise horizontalliegender Längsachse (2) intervallartig und in jeweils gegenläufigen Richtungen um seine Längsachse (2) gedreht. Dies kann vorrichtungsmäßig durch zwei antreibbare Rollen (3), auf denen das Ei (1) gelagert ist, erfolgen. Dabei wird eine Intervalldauer gegenläufiger Drehungen gewählt, die bezogen auf die Verfestigungszeit des Eiweißes relativ kurz ist, so daß es zu recht häufiger, unterschiedlicher Drehrichtung des Eies (1) kommt. Darüber hinaus werden vergleichsweise hohe Drehzahlen bevorzugt. Diese intensive, gegenläufige Drehung des Eies (1) während des Kochvorganges bewirkt eine optimale Zentrierung des Eidotters und vermeidet darüber hinaus die häufig beobachtete Schichtenbildung bei der Verfestigung des Eiweißes.
