    摘要: A linear, multi-cylinder Stirling cycle machine comprises a plurality of Stirling cycle units arranged in an open series or closed loop. Each of the units comprises a compression space in fluid communication with an expansion space via a regenerative heat exchange assembly. The compression space and expansion space are in fluid communication with, respectively, a compression piston and an expansion piston, and the separate Stirling cycle units are mechanically coupled together by linear power transmitters, which connect the expansion piston of one unit to the compression unit of the other. The linear power transmitters can be linear transducers such as linear motors or generators. In the open series arrangement the series of Stirling cycle units can have an initiating compressor at one end and a terminating expander at the other end. hi the closed loop arrangement, one of the Stirling cycle units can include an exergy throttle to restrict gas flow rates to control the speed of the machine. The machine may be used in a combined heat and power apparatus with some Stirling cycle units acting as engine/generators and with waste heat being used for heating. Some Stirling cycle units can be used for cooling or heat pumping.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for controlling the offset and dynamics of a moving assembly in a reciprocating linear machine such as a linear compressor, heat pump or engine, comprises a gas spring connected to the moving assembly of the reciprocating linear machine and a pressure adjuster for adjusting the gas pressure in the gas spring. A position detector is provided far detecting the position of the moving assembly, either directly using a sensor, or from the drive to the moving assembly, and a controller controls the pressure adjuster in response to the detected position of the moving assembly. By adjusting the gas pressure the offset of the moving assembly can be controlled, and also the spring constant provided by the gas spring, and thus the resonant frequency of the assembly, can be adjusted.

    摘要: A Rankine cycle system, wherein a feed-forward value (NFF) is calculated based on the flow rate (Q) of a vapor-phase acting medium at the outlet of a evaporator (12) and a target pressure (PO) so that the pressure (P) of a vapor-phase acting medium at the inlet of an expander (13) agrees with a target pressure (PO), a feed-back value (NFB) is calculated by multiplying a deviation between the pressure (P) of a vapor-phase acting medium at the inlet of the expander (13) and a target pressure (PO) by feed-back gain (kp) calculated based on the flow rate (Q) of the above vapor-phase acting medium, and the rotation speed of the expander (13) is controlled based on the added/subtracted value of the feed-forward value (NFF) and the feed-back value (NFB). Accordingly, the pressure of a vapor-phase acting medium at the inlet of an expander can be controlled to a target pressure accurately without changing the supply amount of a liquid-phase acting medium to an evaporator.
