The lever has a control arrangement (11-23) for transmitting a control movement from a control disc (12) with a reference point (12') to a clutch wheel (6) of the lever mechanism depending on the angular movement of the brake lever. The control disc is in gear engagement with a pinion (14), and an adjustment screw (21) coaxial with the pinion is in engagement with the clutch wheel (6). A cylindrical driver (17) is axially but non-rotatably movable in relation to the pinion (14) coaxial therewith and forms a one-way clutch (20) with a unit including the adjustement screw (21), which is axially movable a distance corresponding to a desired control distance or A-measure (23) for the brake lever, the one-way clutch being spring-biased into engagement.

Um eine Justierung und Rückstellung des Nachstellgetriebes nach einem Bremsbelagwechsel ohne Öffnung des Gehäuses (5) zu ermöglichen, wird vorgeschlagen, in dem Gehäuse vor der Schneckenwelle einen Mitnehmer (26) anzuordnen, der sich über eine Ausrückhülse (30) auf einem Kupplungsring (12) einer Kupplung (11) zwischen Schneckenwelle (8) und Kupplungsring (12) abstützt, und zwischen dem Mitnehmer (26) und der Ausrückhülse (30) eine Ausrückvorrichtung anzuordnen, mit der durch Verdrehen des Mitnehmers (26) die Ausrückhülse (30) axial gegen den Kupplungsring (12) verschiebbar ist, um die Kupplung (11) für das Justieren oder Zurückdrehen zu öffnen.

Bekannte Bremsbetätigungseinrichtungen sind mit Nachstelleinrichtungen versehen, mit denen trotz Verschleißes von Bremselementen ein Bremslüftspiel durch Nachjustieren aufrecht erhalten werden soll. Defekte im Bereich der Nachstelleinrichtung können jedoch den tatsächlichen Verschleiß des Bremsbelages verfälschen. Die neue Einrichtung soll eine kontinuierliche Kontrolle des Bremsbelagverschleißes ermöglichen. Die Bewegung der Nachstelleinrichtung (5, 7) wird zur Erzeugung eines Meßweges (n) genutzt, der von einem Signalgeber (27, 31) abtastbar ist. Die Einrichtung eignet sich zur kontinuierlichen Überwachung des Bremsbelagverschleißes an einem Fahrzeug oder mittels eines mit einem Fahrzeug verbindbaren Diagnosecenters.
