The driver module is preferably connected to the drive module such that the drive and driver modules are capable of providing the locomotive motion of the robot. The power module preferably provides the power to the drive and driver modules.

    摘要: A combined alarm and test and drain valve (1) for a fire sprinkler system has specific modifications for draining the system and allowing for flow through a specifically sized orifice under conditions simulating the flow through a sprinkler head having the same orifice size. Fluid flow occurs alternatively under a first set of test conditions in a system alarm test mode of operation, and under a second set of fluid drainage conditions in a system fluid drainage mode of operation. A mechanical force is provided by a spring (8) and a hydraulic force is provided by a pressure diferential. When performing the system alarm test function, the valve (1) opens a first size outlet opening (9), and when performing the system drainage function, the valve (1) opens a second size outlet opening (2), larger than the first opening (9).

Faults on a data bus (12) and defective sensor interfaces (Fig. 4) may be bypassed through one or more bypass buses (406) that may be addressably switched into use as desired.

    摘要: The use of an on-line condition monitoring system for the real-time observation of a number of monitored objects. The system comprises a sensor (12, 12') arranged at each monitored object (10, 10') in order to generate signals, which represent the condition of this object, a substation (14, 14'), which is arranged to receive signals from the object (10, 10') at certain measurement intervals and to transmit the so obtained data generated by the measurements to a monitoring unit which has a processing unit (16) and one or more workstations (18, 18'), at which the condition of different objects can be observed, and a data network (20, 22). The substation is further arranged to receive signals during a longer period from an object, which has been put into particular real-time observation. The substation and/or the work-station is arranged to process the signals received by the substation and to generate calculation results, which are presented to the operator. The workstation is arranged by means of real-time signal analysis user interface software to visualise to the operator the measured signals and the results calculated from them.

    摘要: The fire resistance of components normally subject to a standard flame test is evaluated using low temperature model tests. Reynolds number, Froude number, the pressure ratio of the flame to the surrounding atmosphere are matched in the modelling parameters and account is taken of the Prandtl number. Also, the model flow is controlled so as to match the change of momentum flux ratio in the flow through the burner used in a standard flame test. The method allows testing of easily produced model components at temperatures less than 90°C, with savings of cost and time.
