A third capture tab (66) extends from the edge of the load beam, is spaced from the tab (64) and has a flat sleeve contact surface for contacting the conductor sleeve on the one side. A fourth capture tab (68) extends from the edge of the load beam, is spaced from the tab (66) and has a semi-cylindrical sleeve contact surface for contacting the conductor sleeve on the other side. Each of the second and fourth capture tabs has its sleeve contact surface displaced from a line defined generally by the sleeve contact surfaces of the first and third capture tabs, by a distance less than the thickness of the conductor sleeve.

    摘要: A read/write head carrying mechanism for a floppy disk drive. Upper (28) and lower (30) heads are brought into close contact with both sides of a floppy disk (16) in a loaded state, and reciprocate in the radial direction of the floppy disk (16) so as to be positioned at a desired track. The lower head (30) is secured to a carriage, while the upper head to an upper arm, which is swingable with respect to the carriage. The carriage reciprocates along a single guide rail, which is spaced apart from and disposed parallel with a head moving path. The carriage is supported by the single guide rail, with the result that the carriage and the upper arm as a whole form a carriage assembly which swings with the guide rail as a fulcrum. The upper (28) and lower (30) heads move vertically by very small amounts by following the fluctuation of the floppy disk (16), thereby causing the heads and the floppy disk to be brought into close contact with each other.

    摘要: A method for recording track marking information on flexible magnetical information carrier discs, in which the circular tracks on one side of the disc are each divided into an information recording segment having an angular width of at least 270 and a remaining track marking segment, and in this latter respective marking frequency signals are recorded so that each of these signals is distinguishable from those recorded on the two neighbouring tracks. The apparatus for fine adjustment of the position of a reading head in case of discs recorded by the above method comprises frequency selective means that selects the marking frequency components when track marking segments are played back. The difference of the sensed components are processed to a control signal which drives a control unit for adjusting the radial position of the head to the center line of a predetermined track.
