The present invention discloses a device and method for controlling an audio signal and includes: converting first and second digital audio signals into data having the same sampling frequency, and storing the first and second digital audio signals; extracting the stored first and second digital audio signals with audio bandwidths matching each other, determining a time difference between the two signals using normalization cross correlation, and outputting a time difference determination signal; compensating for the time difference between the first and second digital audio signals by delaying or advancing an output of a leading signal between the two signals, according to the time difference determination signal; determining a level difference based on energies of the first and second digital audio signals between which the time difference is compensated for, and outputting first and second gain control signals; and performing cross fading on the first and second digital audio signals using the first and second gain control signals, and outputting resultant signals.

Techniques are provided for reducing power consumption in wireless communication devices. During an idle listening period, the clock rate of the receiver in the device is reduced. Data packets received by the receiver are then sampled at the reduced clock rate. A determination is made as to whether the data packet is intended for the device. The clock rate is restored to the full clock rate when the data packet is intended for the device. On the other hand, the receiver continues to operate at the reduced clock rate when the data packet is not intended for the device.

An amplifier apparatus 10 is an amplifier apparatus that performs drain modulation, and includes a printed circuit board 400 having a first principal surface 401a and a second principal surface 401b that face each other; an amplifier circuit 100 disposed on the first principal surface 400a; and a modulation power supply circuit 200 that supplies a variable power supply voltage for performing drain modulation, to the amplifier circuit 100. The modulation power supply circuit 200 has an output portion 250 that outputs the power supply voltage. The amplifier circuit 100 has an input portion 150 to which the power supply voltage is supplied.
