摘要： A method of shaping polyimide foam sheets comprises:
(a) placing an uncured polyimide foam sheet into a two part mould adapted to provide the desired shape, (b) closing the mould and heating at least one of the moulding surfaces so that the contiguous surface of the foam sheet is heated to a temperature of from 220 to 320°C, and (c) opening the mould and removing the shaped foam sheet,
the temperature and time of heating in step (b) being such that in the shaped sheet the heated surface is provided with a higher density, moisture impervious, fire blocking and abrasion resistant skin.
