Abstract:
The invention relates to a paper sizing agent comprising a stable aqueous dispersion of a reactive sizing agent, 5 to 100 % by weight, with regard to the reactive sizing agent, of an essentially linear nitrogen-containing polymer with at least 3 mmol/g of basic nitrogen atoms, and 1 to 50 % by weight of cationic starch with a degree of substitution of at least 0.05. The paper sizing agent exhibits a good sizing effect and has a constant viscosity.
Abstract:
A process and device for producing finely divided liquid-liquid formulations comprise (a) a screen with at least one inlet nozzle and a screen with at least one outlet nozzle, a static mixer being located in the space between the screens, into which additional energy is mechanically introduced, if necessary, or (b) a screen with at least one inlet nozzle and a baffle plate, a static mixer being located, if necessary, in the space between the screen and the baffle plate, and/or energy being mechanically introduced therein.
Abstract:
Aqueous alkylketene dimer dispersions which contain at least 15% by weight of an alkylketene dimer and at least one water-soluble cationic starch, aluminum sulfate and at least one condensation product formed from napthalenesulfonic acid and formaldehyde or lignosulfonic acid or in each case salts thereof, wherein the dispersions, each based on alkylketene dimer, contain from 2 to 50% by weight of aluminum sulfate, and in which the dispersions, with an aluminum sulfate content of from 2 to 15% by weight, additionally contain from 0.1 to 5% by weight of a saturated carboxylic acid having from 1 to 10 carbon atoms, of benzenesulfonic acid, of p-toluenesulfonic acid and/or of a mineral acid, and the use of the dispersions as bulk and surface sizes for paper and paper products.
