摘要: Provided is an exhaust gas purification catalyst of OSC material-containing type that allows a favorable HC purification (oxidation) treatment to be performed even in a case where HC emissions are comparatively large, such as during engine startup.
The exhaust gas purification catalyst of the present invention includes, as a catalyst layer (20), a front section (24) positioned upstream in an exhaust gas flow direction, and a rear section (26) positioned downstream of the front section in the exhaust gas flow direction. The front section contains Pd as a catalyst metal but does not contain an OSC material.
The proportion, at which the front section is formed from the upstream leading end in the exhaust gas flow direction, is 10% to 40% with respect to 100% of a total length of the substrate (1) in the exhaust gas flow direction.-

摘要: The exhaust gas cleaning catalyst according to the present invention is provided with a cylindrical substrate 10 and a catalyst coat layer 20 formed on the surface of the substrate 10. A ratio of the length L in the cylindrical axis direction of the substrate 10 and the diameter D of a cross section orthogonal to the cylindrical axis direction is denoted by (L/D) ≤ 0.8. The coat density of the catalyst coat layer 20 differs between an upstream side portion 10a that includes the exhaust gas inlet-side end 16 of the substrate 10 and a downstream side portion 10b that includes the exhaust gas outlet-side end 18 of the substrate 10. The coat density A in the upstream side portion 10a is lower than the coat density B in the downstream side portion 10b (A

摘要: According to the present invention, a wall-flow type particulate filter in which pressure loss is suppressed despite a large formation region of a catalyst layer is provided. The particulate filter disclosed herein includes a wall-flow type base material and a catalyst layer formed on the base material. The base material includes an inlet side cell whose only end part on an exhaust gas entry side is open, an outlet side cell whose only end part on an exhaust gas exit side is open, and a partition wall that sections between the inlet side cell and the outlet side cell and includes a plurality of pores communicating between the inlet side cell and the outlet side cell. A first catalyst layer is formed on a surface of the partition wall that is in contact with the inlet side cell. The first catalyst layer is provided in a region over 80% of a total length of the base material from an end part of the base material on the exhaust gas entry side toward an end part thereof on the exhaust gas exit side. In at least a region from a position corresponding to 20% of the total length of the base material to a position corresponding to 80% thereof, from the end part of the base material on the exhaust gas entry side, the first catalyst layer is inclined so that a thickness of the first catalyst layer decreases from the end part on the exhaust gas entry side toward the end part on the exhaust gas exit side.

摘要: A particulate filter disclosed herein includes a wall-flow structure substrate 10 and a wash coat layer 20 held inside a partition 16 of the substrate 10. The wash coat layer 20 includes an inlet layer 22 formed to have predetermined length L A and thickness T A from near an end thereof on an exhaust gas inflow side X1, and an outlet layer 24 formed to have predetermined length L B and thickness T B from near an end thereof on an exhaust gas outflow side X2. The inlet layer 22 and the outlet layer 24 partially overlap each other. In the particulate filter disclosed herein, the inlet layer 22 contains a precious metal catalyst, while the outlet layer 24 contains substantially no precious metal catalyst. The length L A of the inlet layer is 50% or more and 75% or less of a total length L of the partition 16. Thus, the particulate filter is capable of achieving both PM collection performance and pressure-drop reduction performance at high levels.
