摘要： A copying paper guiding device comprising a lower guide plate (204) and an upper guide plate (206) located opposite to each other. The lower guide plate (204) has provided therein laterally in spaced apart relationship a plurality of rising pieces (238) rising from the upper side of its main flat portion (208) and extending in the direction of movement of a copying paper sheet. The upper guide plate (206) has provided therein laterally in spaced-apart relationship a plurality of hanging pieces (240) hanging from the lower side of its main flat portion (228) and extending in said direction of paper movement. Openings (244) are formed on the main flat portion (228) of the upper guide plate (206). The upper edges of the rising pieces co-operate with the lower edges of the hanging pieces to define a path of movement for the copying paper.

The formation of a copied image involves exposure scanning of the image of an original document and projecting it on a photosensitive member (10) through an optical device (66). The change of the ratio of copying is achieved by changing the ratio of projection of the image of the document onto the photosensitive member by the optical device, and also changing the speed of scanning.

摘要： A copying apparatus equipped with a sorter 2 which is arranged to accommodate through classification, a plurality of copy paper sheets 6, 7 in correspondence to a single original document, discharged from a main body 1 of the copying apparatus, into a plurality of bins 52 successively shifted to a paper discharge position 73 by a shifting means 53. The copying apparatus comprises a copy number preset key 100, memory means 173 for memorizing the preset number of copies, first counter 171 for counting the number of copied paper sheets, second counter 172 for counting the number of discharged copy paper sheets, means 87 for stopping the copying operation when the counted value of the first counter 171 is agreed with the memorized preset number of copies, a sort key 106 for selecting a mode for accommodating the copy paper sheets 6, 7 into the bins 52 through classification one single sheet by one single sheet, and an electrical circuit 152 for applying signal to the shifting means 53 in order to change the moving direction of the bins 52 when the counted value of the second counter 172 is agreed with the memorized preset number of copies in the sort mode.

摘要： A detecting device for detecting the amount of toner in dual component developing material is less than the predetermined level in a developing device for an electrostatic copying apparatus which comprises a hopper (4) for supplying the toner (5), a stirring roller (9) for stirring a carrier and the toner (5) from the hopper (4), detecting means for detecting the amount of developing material provided near the stirring roller (9) to mix the toner (5) supplied from the hopper (4) with the carrier, discriminating means for discriminating the output signal from the detecting means for predetermined interval during the rotational period of the stirring roller (9), and an indicating element (46) in response to the output signal from the discriminating means for indicating the amount of the toner (5) in developing material is less than the predetermined level. Since it is indicated when the toner (5) in the developing material is more reduced than the predetermined level, the toner (5) is supplied according to the indication, therefore, the undesirable detrioration of the copy density is prevented.

摘要： The present invention relates to an automatic document conveying device suitable for use in an image forming apparatus. The conveying device comprises a main portion (14) mounted for movement between a closed position to cover a transparent plate (8) and an open position which exposes the transparent plate (8). A conveyor belt mechanism comprises a driven roller (76) and a follower roller (78) as well as a plurality of pressing rollers (80, 82, 84, 86) disposed therebetween. The pressing rollers are adapted for vertical movement and are downwardly urged to press the lower portion of an endless belt (88) onto the transparent plate (8). At least one (84, 86) of the pressing rollers has a diameter greater than the diameter of the driven roller (76) and the follower roller (78) in order to prevent the upper portion of the endless belt (88) from slackening in the downward direction.

摘要： A sheet handling apparatus is provided adjacent to an image forming apparatus. The sheet handling apparatus staples sheets discharged from the image forming apparatus, and it includes a plurality of bins, a stapler, a discharge mechanism, and a stock tray. The bins store the sheets supplied from the image forming apparatus. The stapler staples the sheets stored in the bins. The discharge mechanism discharges the stapled sheets from the bins frontward with respect to the image forming apparatus, where an operator normally stands. The stock tray is located alongside the front of the image forming apparatus, and stores the sheets discharged by the discharge mechanism.
