摘要: A printer adapted to prevent damages such as wear and cracks to a printing endless belt (7) by not exerting an excessively large turning force thereon when the rotation of the printing endless belt (7) is restricted, and prevent a heavy load on the printing endless belt (7) by idly turning a selecting wheel (5) when the printing endless belt (7) is turned forcedly. A movable member for restricting the rotation of the selecting wheel (5) is used, and a movable stopper (14) is moved when an excessively strong force is exerted on the selecting wheel (5) or printing endless belt (7). A stopper receiving member (15) brought into contact with an elastic portion (14B) of the stopper (14) is provided. Engagement of driving projections (7E) with the elastic portion (14B) in accordance with the movement of the printing endless belt (7) makes the movable stopper member (14) movable.

Both lateral parts of the outer housing (1) have cavities (24) for the legs of the frame and cavities (15) for compression springs (16) or the legs (21') of the actuating hoop that in turn is mounted in an outer frame (22) made of plastics with lateral parts (22') that also extend into both compression spring-receiving cavities (15).
