摘要:
The invention relates to a method of producing a structured fibrous web of paper. The method comprises forming a fibrous web and conveying the formed fibrous web on a water receiving felt (5) to a dewatering nip. An endless belt (11) with a polyurethane surface is passed through the nip together with the fibrous web and the water receiving felt (5). After the dewatering nip, the fibrous web is conveyed by the endless belt (11) to an endless textured fabric (12) which is permeable to air and to which the web is transferred from the endless belt (11) in a transfer nip. The textured fabric (12) rans at a lower speed than the endless belt (11). After the transfer to the textured fabric (12), the fibrous web is carried by the textured fabric (12) to a drying cylinder (17). The transfer nip is formed by two rolls of which one is a suction roll within the loop of the textured fabric. The transfer nip has a length which is 5 mm - 40 mm. The endless polyurethane belt (11) has a width that exceeds the width of the textured fabric (12). The invention also relates to a corresponding machine.

A process for making absorbent cellulosic paper products such as sheet for towel, tissue and the like, includes compactively dewatering a nascent web followed by wet belt creping the web at an intermediate consistency of anywhere from about 30 to about 60 percent under conditions operative to redistribute the fiber on the belt, which is preferably a fabric. In preferred embodiments, the web is thereafter adhesively applied to a Yankee dryer using a creping adhesive operative to enable high speed transfer of the web of intermediate consistency such as a poly(vinyl alcohol)/polyamide adhesive. An absorbent sheet so prepared from a papermaking fumish exhibits an absorbency of at least about 5 g/g, a CD stretch of at least about 4 percent, and an MD/CD tensile ratio of less than about 1.1, and also exhibits a maximum CD modulus at a CD strain of less than 1 percent and sustains a CD modulus of at least 50 percent of its maximum CD modulus to a CD strain of at least 4 percent. Products of the invention may also exhibit an MD modulus at break 1.5 to 2 times their initial MD modulus.

A multi-layer tissue forming fabric constructed so that the top forming surface has topographical differences measured as a plane difference between at least two top weft yams (400, 410). The plane difference-the difference in height between the two weft yarns-must be greater than zero. Using at least two different diameter, size, or shape weft yarns positioned at the same contour in the forming surface creates this plane difference and defines pocket areas in the forming surface of the tissue forming fabric. The pocket areas act to generate bulk, cross directional tensile, absorbency, and softness in a formed sheet of tissue, napkin, or towel paper.

The present invention is directed to an air filter medium comprising nanofibers, the filter medium having a thickness of less than 0.25 millimeters, a Figure of Merit of greater than about 0.075, and an efficiency of greater than about 99.9% when capturing aerosol particles of about 0.18 microns in size and a pressure drop of less than about 40 millimeters water column at a flow rate of about 32 liters/minute through a sample 100 cm in size. A coating of the nanofibers may also be used to enhance performance of existing filter media by increasing the FOM of the existing filter media. Preferably, the nanofibers are fibrillated.

The objective of the present invention is to realize a sanitary paper production method which eliminates problems that originate from the mains power supply and cause disruption in production, while enabling energy conservation in sanitary paper production. For this purpose, a sanitary paper production method is realized wherein electricity is produced from combustion gases by means of a turbine (1), the hot combustion gases emanating from the turbine are utilized by being used in drying (3) of sanitary paper and the gases emanating from sanitary paper drying process are cooled with an absorption chiller(5), and thus a solution has been provided to the problem.
