    摘要： The sprinkler includes the following structural members: a body (1) with a channel for liquid supply, a thermally responsive unit with a valve (4) closing the sprinkler outlet, and a thermally responsive unit attachment. In the first alternative embodiment a sprinkler channel is formed by a segment (10) of a cylindrical configuration connected with a segment (11) made as a conical diffuser. To generate a fine uniform gas-and-drop stream of a high kinetic energy and space-uniform distribution the cylindrical segment (10) length exceeds the channel diameter at this segment. The segment length in the form of conical diffuser exceeds the channel diameter at the cylindrical segment (10). In the second alternative embodiment the sprinkler has two coaxial liquid supply channels. The length of the axial cylindrical channel exceeds its diameter. The second annular channel is coaxial to the first channel and fitted with helical guide components.

    摘要： Bei herkömmlichen Abschirmhauben ist nicht auszuschließen, daß die Sprinkler sich gegenseitig besprühen und damit unter Umständen eine vorzeitige Abschaltung der Sprinkleranlage erfolgt.
    Es ist daher die Funktionssicherheit von Sprinklern auch in solchen Anlagen zu gewährleisten, wo enge Abstände der Sprinkler erforderlich sind und wo eine Ablenkung des Sprühstrahles dauerhaft beibehalten werden soll.
    Die erfindungsgemäße Sprinklerhaube, bestehend aus einer im wesentlichen planen Stahlblech-Scheibe mit einer Bohrung für die Sprinklerdüse zeichnet sich dadurch aus, daß der Rand der Bohrung (9) einen Kragen (19) aufweist, aus dem mindestens zwei Lappen (20,21) ausgeschnitten sind, wobei zwischen den Lappen und der Stahlblech-Scheibe ein Federring (22) eingeklemmt ist, der mit seinen freien Schenkeln über den Kragen (19) der Stahlblech-Scheibe hinausragt.

    摘要： Apparatus for suppressing explosions comprises a reservoir means (5,25) containing hot pressurised water which is heated by a heating means (9,28). On explosion conditions occurring in an enclosure (2,20,21,22) a high speed differential pressure diaphragm (10,40) is fractured to release a charge of hot pressurised water into the enclosure. When the water enters the enclosure portion it is converted into water droplets to suppress the flame front of a deflagration and portion of the water flashes off as flash steam to reduce the oxygen concentration and suppress the explosion. A differential pressure diaphragm 40 comprises a pair of bursting diaphragms having a space therebetween which is maintained at a balance pressure. When explosion conditions occur the balance is disturbed and the diaphragms burst under the higher pressure.
