摘要:
To provide a method for purifying a fluorinated carboxylic acid having an etheric oxygen atom and its derivative, with small decomposition and inclusion of impurities. A liquid containing at least one member selected from the group consisting of a fluorinated compound represented by the following formula (1) and a fluorinated compound represented by the following formula (2) is held at a heating temperature of at most 150°C and distilled:
R F OR 1 COOH (1)
R F OR 1 COOR 2 (2)
R F is a linear or branched monovalent fluoroorganic group which may have an etheric oxygen atom in its main chain, R 1 is a linear or branched bivalent organic group, and R 2 is a linear or branched monovalent organic group. Further, the liquid is a liquid obtained from any of a waste liquid after an aqueous emulsion of a fluoropolymer is coagulated and the fluoropolymer is separated, an aqueous liquid obtained by cleaning an exhaust gas in a step of drying and/or a step of heat treatment of the separated fluoropolymer, and a liquid obtained by cleaning an anion exchange resin which has been brought into contact with the waste liquid or an aqueous dispersion obtained from the aqueous emulsion of the fluoropolymer, with an alkaline aqueous solution.

To provide a method for recovering an acid of an anionic fluorinated emulsifier with a high yield from a basic ion exchange resin having a nonionic surfactant physically adsorbed thereon and having the anionic fluorinated emulsifier adsorbed thereon. A method for eluting and recovering an acid of an anionic fluorinated emulsifier from a basic ion exchange resin having a nonionic surfactant physically adsorbed thereon and having the anionic fluorinated emulsifier adsorbed thereon, which comprises a step (1) of bringing the basic ion exchange resin into contact with a water-soluble organic solvent and a step (2) of recovering the acid of the anionic fluorinated emulsifier from the basic ion exchange resin from which the ionic surfactant is eluted in the step (1).

To provide a method for suppressing corrosion of glass to be in contact with a liquid material containing fluoride ions or a condensate of gas vaporized therefrom, without adding an alkaline substance, and further without imposing restrictions on e.g. the temperature, the pH, the fluoride ion concentration and the water content. A method for suppressing corrosion of glass to be in contact with either one or both of a liquid material containing fluoride ions and a condensate of gas vaporized from the liquid material, wherein the liquid material contains a powder containing silicon dioxide, and the silicon dioxide is contained in a molar ratio of one or more times to the fluoride ions.

The invention provides a fluorinated surfactant having the general formula:
[R f -(O) t -CHF-(CF 2 ) n -COO-] i X i+ (I)
wherein R f represents a partially or fully fluorinated aliphatic group optionally interrupted with one or more oxygen atoms, t is 0 or 1 and n is 0 or 1, X i+ represents a cation having a valence i and i is 1, 2 or 3. The surfactant can be used in emulsion polymerization of fluoromonomers to prepare fluoropolymers.

An industrially useful process is provided by which fluorinated ketones having various structures can be prepared in shorter steps. That is, a process for the preparation of fluorinated ketones of the general formula (5) which comprises reacting a compound (3) having a fluorine content of 30 % by mass or above with fluorine in a liquid phase to obtain a compound (4) and subjecting the compound (4) to decomposition of ester linkage: R?CCOOCHRARB (3) RCFCOOCFRAFRBF (4) RAFRBF¿C=O (5) wherein R?A and RB¿ are each a monovalent organic group such as alkyl, or R?A and RB¿ may be united to form a divalent organic group such as alkylene; R?AF and RBF¿ are monovalent organic groups derived from R?A and RB¿ respectively by fluorination, e.g., perfluoroalkyl, or R?AF and RBF¿ may be united to form a divalent organic group such as perfluoroalkylene; and R?C and RCF¿ are each a monovalent organic group optionally containing an etheric oxygen atom, e.g., perfluoroalkyl.
