    摘要： An application and inspection system comprises an application system for applying sealing compound to an edge region of a can end (1). The application system includes means for rotating the can end and application means (5) relative to each other to as to apply sealing compound to an edge region of the can end. An inspection system (7) is provided for determining the integrity of the sealing compound applied to the can end. The inspection system includes means for directing a source (9, 11, 13) of radiation towards an edge region of the can end as the can end rotates relative to the inspection system. The inspection system also includes means for detecting radiation originating from the radiation source and reflected from the can end. The source of radiation is directed at the can end at a location upstream of a location at which the sealing compound is applied.

    摘要： A thrombectomy apparatus for breaking up thrombus or other obstructive material in a lumen of a vascular graft or vessel comprises a wire (60, 160, 160', 560, 660, 722, 722') having a first configuration and a second deployed configuration when exposed from a sheath (40, 40', 140, 240, 540, 709), the wire having a straighter configuration in the first configuration. The wire is operatively connected to a motor (410) for rotation of the wire to contact and break up the thrombus or other obstructive material. A blocking device (70, 170, 200, 300, 570, 670, 710, 710') is provided at a distal portion of the apparatus, the blocking device movable between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration. In the expanded configuration, the blocking device is configured to block thrombus dislodged by rotation of the wire.

    摘要： Urethane acrylate oligomers, suitable for use in coatings and like formulations, prepared by capping polyols having hydroxyl functionality (fOH) equal to or greater than 4, using 2-isocyanatoethyl acrylate or 2-isocyanatoethyl methacrylate, thereby avoiding the gelation that normally occurs in attempting to prepare urethane acrylates with high/OH polyols by reaction with diisocyanates. Reaction of low molecular weight polyols, containing two or three hydroxyl groups, with mono isocyanate(meth)acrylate monomers produces useful, low viscosity urethane (meth)acrylate oligomers. Specifically, capping of a mole of 2,2-dihydroxymethyl butanoic acid by two moles of 2-isocyanatoethyl acrylate molecules leads to the formation of radiation curable water-soluble liquid monomers that are transparent and soluble in water. Oligomers obtained by capping with 2-isocyanatoethyl acrylate demonstrate enhanced adhesion to glass and stainless steel. Solid, hydroxyl-containing chemicals can be transformed to liquids by reaction with monoisocyanate- (meth)acrylate monomers
